Delete your ExamTeX account and data

How to delete your account in ExamTeX: Flashcards & Exams, the ExamTeX app for Android and iPhone, and on examtex.com.

Developer: ExamTeX, a Kastalia project · Rudens 2-20, Vilnius, Lithuania

The app and examtex.com share one account. Deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere, and it happens straight away.

In the app

  1. Open the ExamTeX app and tap Profile in the bottom bar (on a tablet, the side bar).
  2. Scroll down and tap Delete account. If you use the app without an account (as a guest), the button is called Delete my data.
  3. Read what will be deleted and tap Continue.
  4. Tap DELETE ACCOUNT to confirm (guests: DELETE MY DATA).

The app also removes the lecture recordings and transcripts it keeps on that phone, your reminder settings and its other local data.

On the website

  1. Go to examtex.com and log in with the account you want to delete.
  2. Choose delete account. While you are signed in it is at the foot of every page and at the bottom of your dashboard; on a phone, open the menu, where it is under Log Out.
  3. Read what will be deleted and continue.
  4. Type DELETE and confirm.

Using examtex.com as a guest, without an account? Choose delete my guest data at the bottom of your dashboard.

Without the app or a working login

Email arasmcz@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my ExamTeX account”. Send it from the email address you sign in with, or tell us that address. We may reply to that address to confirm the request is yours before we delete the account.

What is deleted

Straight away and permanently:

If you have a Pro subscription, it is cancelled first so you are not charged again. If it cannot be cancelled, nothing is deleted and you can try again or contact us.

Lecture recordings and transcripts made in the app are stored only on your phone, never with us. Deleting your account in the app removes them from that phone; if you delete it another way, delete them in the app or uninstall it.
