A-Level Maths practice exams by topic
A-Level Maths practice questions sorted by the content areas every board shares: eight pure topics, three statistics topics and two mechanics topics. Each topic page has free sample questions with mark-scheme solutions where our free A-Level Maths paper covers it, a key-terms list with every formula typeset (and a note of which are in the formulae booklet), and a door to make a paper on that topic from your own notes. The exam PDF needs no signup; the answer key is emailed on request.

Frequently asked questions
Which exam board is this for?
AQA, Edexcel and OCR teach the same A-Level Maths content, set by the Department for Education, and these topics follow it. The boards differ in how they split pure, statistics and mechanics across the three papers; the free paper mixes all three, and when you generate a paper you can name your board in the instructions.
Is the free A-Level Maths paper free?
Yes. It can be read online and downloaded as a print-ready PDF with no account, and the worked mark-scheme answer key is emailed when you ask for it on the exam page. Making a new paper from your own notes uses the generator, which has a free plan.
Which topics have sample questions?
Nine of the thirteen: indices and surds, quadratics, circles, the binomial expansion, differentiation, integration, trigonometric equations, the binomial distribution and proof. The others (exponentials and logarithms, numerical methods and vectors, sampling, hypothesis testing, kinematics, forces) have key terms and the generator.
How are the solutions marked?
As A-Level mark schemes do: M marks for method, A marks for accuracy that depend on the method, and B marks for independent results. The solutions show where each mark falls so you can mark your own working.
