AP Calculus practice exams by topic
AP Calculus practice questions sorted by the ten College Board units: eight shared by AB and BC, plus the two BC-only units on parametric, polar and vector functions and infinite series. Each unit page has free sample questions with worked solutions drawn from our free AB and BC exams, a key-terms list with every formula typeset, and a door to make a test on that unit from your own notes. The exam PDFs need no signup; the answer keys are emailed on request.

Frequently asked questions
Are these AP Calculus practice tests free?
Yes. The free AB and BC exams can be read online and downloaded as print-ready PDFs with no account, and the worked answer key is emailed when you ask for it on the exam page. Making a new test from your own notes uses the generator, which has a free plan.
Is this AB or BC?
Both. Units 1 to 8 are on both exams; units 9 and 10 (parametric, polar and vector functions, and infinite sequences and series) are BC only, as are a few techniques marked BC in the key-terms lists (integration by parts, partial fractions, improper integrals, Euler's method, the logistic model, arc length). The BC free exam covers those.
Do the free-response questions use AP justification language?
Yes. The solutions write justifications the way AP scoring guidelines reward them: naming the theorem or test, stating the sign of the derivative, and quoting units. A correct number with no justification earns less on the real exam, and the answer keys show the difference.
Can I practise with and without a calculator?
The free exams mark which questions allow a calculator, following the AB and BC section structure. When you generate a test, say "no calculator" or "graphing calculator allowed" in the instructions to get the matching kind of question.
